bow

81ch
row 1 - 1sc in each st (80 sts)
row 2 - 2ch, dc in each sc until end of row
row 3 - 2ch, 1dc in next 21 dc, 2dc in next 6 dc, 1dc in next 24 dc, 2dc in next 6 dc, 1dc in next 22 dc

bind off. counting from one end, place markers in the 9th st, 16th st, 37th st, 55th st, 76th st, 83rd st.

tie a loose overhand knot (there should be one flat side at the front & a twist at the back). the two middle markers should show at either side of the knot. push the right ribbon tail up to form the curve of the bow with row 3 on the outside. push the end of the ribbon through the knot, twisting it as it goes

so the end lays with a slight curve. the second marker should be on the right side of the knot and the first marker should be pushed through on the left side. repeat mirrored on the left side.
